Silpa Mundru is a Physical therapist with over 16 years of experience working with the Geriatric population. She has worked with clients in all different levels of care including Sub-acute rehab, Long-term care nursing homes, Assisted Living, Dementia units, Independent living, Private homes, Group Homes, and Hospice. Her areas of expertise include Dementia, progressive neurological conditions, Diabetes, Stroke, Congestive Heart failure, Joint replacements, and COPD. Silpa is an advocate of preventative care and has run many educational programs to prevent falls in elderly and utilizes outcome measures to improve quality of life & safety. Silpa provides a thorough understanding of how various medical, insurance, government, and corporate mechanisms affect the health care delivery system.
Silpa is an advocate for all of her clients/family members and works diligently in assisting the quality care they deserve. She is available to her clients with inherent complex medical problem-solving skills, as an educator, and as a catalyst. She demonstrates the traits of an effective care manager through A can-do mentality, level-headed self-affirmation, and a good sense of humor.
Silpa has a bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, and a post-professional master’s degree in health sciences (with a focus on geriatric care) from the University of Indianapolis. Silpa has attended many programs in the community regarding Dementia and Alzheimer’s care and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.
